| In between making episodes of Jeb's Jobs
and similar nonsense, the little chap has been busy tarting himself
about trying to make a few quid out of his unexpected fame.
Earlier this year he was nominated (twice) for a gong at the
Cobravision Awards and despite failing miserably to acquire anything
shiny for my mantelpiece, his representatives did have a very
pleasant evening swilling Cobra Beer and hobnobbing with the likes
of Brenda Blethyn and, er, some other people...
Of course, the biggest news is that Jeb has recently signed a
deal with AT New Media.
The name might not mean anything to most people but they are the
guys who discovered and marketed the hell out of The Annoying
Thing - aka Crazy Frog.
That's not to say that Jeb is set to be the new Crazy Frog -
who needs one of those? No, Jeb is heading down his own unique
path and will remain true to his origins, appearing here in further
stupid movies. However, sometime soon you should be able to waste
a few quid on ring tones, downloads, wallpapers etc. and I'm hoping
to be the first in line when Clintons Cards start selling stuffed
Jebs. That'll be a freaky day.
Meanwhile, Jeb is showing his face in a series of ads in Develop
magazine and 3D World for Freehand
Ltd (who do me a good deal on software and stuff) and is appearing
in a viral marketing campaign for Touchpaper
PLC.
Best news of all is that I've finally found time to concentrate
on Jeb's Jobs, Episode 3. I've decided to bring him back down
to earth after his fleeting moment of infamy on Kids'
TV. He should be pushing a pen somewhere near you soon...
Just got to spend the week rigging fat suits and pyros. Don't
ask.
If you'd like to be kept up to date with Jeb then please . If enough people are interested then mayhap I'll organise
a regular Jeb-blog.
In the meantime, thanks for reading, thanks for watching the
movies and I hope you enjoy what you find. Don't forget to visit
Jeb on Myspace : www.myspace.com/jebsweb.
All the best
